Please be informed that I am not talking about the adsorption capacity (qe mg/g or ug/g). I just wish to have your opinion on whether an increase in adsorbent dose after a certain limit could in fact, decrease the percentage of removal of an adsorptive from an aqueous solution.
Of course Grzegorz is right but there is some exception if the adsorbent is biosorbent then this can happen

For one of my material (biochar) I am also getting the similar results. With increasing char dose the % removal is decreasing and in some papers i got they have reported similar finding. Even I don't understand how to explain this. If any of you have some suggestions kindly, let me know.

I have encountered this only in a few papers, but the reason they have proposed, is not acceptable from the scientific point of view. To my opinion, one possible thing could happen when the amount of adsorbent added is increased: the change in pH, provided the amount of adsorbent added can alter the pH. Alteration made in pH, could affect the adsorption efficacy and probably for this, the said discrepancy has been observed.

Normally we optimize the parameters and first we goes for time and once time is optimized we carry all the experiments at that time. When the amount is increased the particles coagulates with each others and decrease the effective surface area and the second thing is within the given time the Kd is also decreased that means that adsorption will decrease.
The reason of Arpan Sarkar is acceptable but this will not work when we use buffers as adsorption medium.

I do agree with Mr.Rashid Ahmad's comment. It might be possible that increasing the amount of adsorption dosage will cause a decrease in the efficiency of the process. especially when you work with fine adsorbents such as nano particles. This might be attributed to the aggregation the adsobent particles and decrease the surface area of the adsorbent. So the removal effeciency will be decreased.
