I am a beginner at SPSS I tried to learn through youtube and took courses. However, I finished the 30 days trial I decide to purchase the SPSS from IBM but I could not complete the purchase it says something went wrong try later. long story short I want an alternative for SPSS? what do you recommend?

You may search for alternative list of statistical packages to SPSS from Wikipedia, with different cost options.
GNU PSPP is free and appears very similar to SPSS with a few exceptions.

R with RStudio (install after latest version of R) is free and is not much harder to use than is SPSS. You can use YouTube and get hub as your manuals. R is a smallish statistically oriented language with a simple grammar similar to Python but it is not a steep learning curve. In general you should be able to find most of what you need for each analysis on you tube. There are also numerous books, many of then not too expensive. R tends to include almost all procedures.
Python has a steeper learning curve and is a more general and widely applicable language but is more challenging than R. If you want to go very deeply into statistics, maybe Python is better.

This question has appeared many times in researchgate. Here are some points to consider:
1. What type(s) of analysis do you wish to undertake?
2. Is cost a concern for you (w/ respect to commercial software)?
3. Does your institution offer you access to statistical software at no cost?
4. Are you comfortable using syntax, or would you prefer a "point and click" gui interface to elicit analyses?
Hands down, the largest and fastest-growing library of procedures is freely available for the R system (as mentioned by Lewis Maccarter). There are several front-end packages that are either based on R or support a more "user-friendly" approach to R libraries. These include: Jamovi, JASP (both have some of the same developers), and front-ends like: Deducer, Rcommander, and RStudio. Best of all, R is free.
The freely available work-alike, PSPP (also mentioned by Lewis Maccarter) incorporates most of the features of base system of SPSS, including file compatability.

MS Excel has historically had accuracy problems and if you graphed a regression the line would not cross the y axis at the right point (wrong b represented in y= ax+b). MS knew all this for over a decade and did nothing about it. The following reference concluded that they had finally corrected Excel for everything BUT statistics. You may wish to seek more recent evidence before trusting or recommending it.

In giving responses to the question on alternatives to IBM's SPSS, it is relevant to also consider the part of the world where the package is in use.
SPSS is currently, very commonly available and used in most developing countries. In spite of few adverse comments on some of its software, the outputs remain considerably reliable.

I agree with you. However, the issie is that the R packagei is yet to be significantly used in many other parts of the world.
SPSS has become very popular for very many people . So cost issue may not the problem, but sufficient justification to switch to.the R packsge.

I like SPSS very much but it is too expensive for many parts of the world. R or even python is free, but more work.
