You probably don’t read Russian, which is a pity: a lot of books about philosophical problems of natural science were published in the Soviet Union. They defended the idea that only approaches based on the philosophy of dialectical materialism will ensure the successful development of physics, biology and other sciences. Among Soviet philosophers you would find many like-minded people. But that's no longer the case.

I have no idea what you mean by this! I know very well that there has been an abysmal degradation of “Soviet Science”, after the Khruschevite agents of monopoly capitalism took over power in that region; the likes of the great Lenin, Ambartsumian, Oparin et al. are no more! I can proudly say that a number of my published books and articles, specially the two, which was published in June 2021 “The Mystery of the Lorentz Transform: A Reconstruction and Its Implications for Einstein's Theories of Relativity and cosmology” : INSPIRE>HEP: https://inspirehep.net/literature/2158754) and another one published earlier in February 2020: “KEPLER -NEWTON -LEIBNIZ -HEGEL Portentous and Conflicting Legacies in Theoretical Physics, Cosmology and in Ruling Ideas”,(Please see my RG profile); represent original contributions in modern theoretical physics and cosmology. Based on the world view of materialist dialectics and simple mathematics, these publications challenge and negate the very foundation of official theoretical physics and cosmology, since Newton. Following the works of the great Oparin, I also co-authored original publications on the “Chemical Evolution of Life” on Earth.

In the first article on Lorentz Transforms (LTs), “spacetime”, SR. GR etc., I have very clearly demonstrated that the gamma factor used in all these theories and which forms the fundamental basis of modern theoretical physics and cosmology is nothing but a contrived, deceptive, artificial and abstract (brain-cooked) geometrical construct, based on the axiom that the velocity of light c is a universal and absolute constant in the universe. I provided a new and original derivation of the gamma factor and the so-called “spacetime”, showing mathematically that these are nothing but fantastic creations, which have no scientific basis. Abstract space and abstract time, which only have the attribute of quantity (infinite) but no quality (of any kind) by which they can be characterized. Only matter in eternal motion, change, development, evolution etc., is the only reality of the infinite, eternal and the ever-changing universe. Minkowski-Einstein’s brain-cooked, 4-dimentional manifold which supposedly has physical, material, metrical etc. attributes; is absolutely absurd and a fantasy that have no basis in objective reality. So, it is also more obvious to me now that once proud Soviet science is in a pitiful state of decay and foul-smelling fermentation! The present Russian philosophy or science as represented by their spokespersons; is nothing but trash! I already had an encounter in RG with such trash science from one, claiming to be a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences!

Now that the cloak of mathematics the Emperor was wearing to hide his nakedness is pulled off; and his lead charlatan followers and devotees who were trying to put patches and “proofs” on that cloak to hide this nakedness, for more than hundred years are now scurrying around like rats in the ruins of the Emperor’s “Castle in the Air”; what should happen to them now!

What should happen to the high priests who consciously or unconsciously propagated, advocated and spread around the Gospel and the innocent millions who were trained as priests and are training others to be priests; in the Churches – aka colleges and universities around the world?

``Knowing the mind of God'' or knowing the ``absolute truth'' is beyond us now. WHEN humans achieve it, we'll be able to create a universe. From where we are now, we can set and achieve the goal of explain observations with new models which allow us to cause longer survival fro humanity. That the new model is closer to God or absolute truth is irrelevant to the practicality of surviving.

IMO the answer to the question is both. The current main models have gone about as far as they can. The path to uniting the big and small (IMO) is to pick another point of departure (ie chose another set of postulates); check if they at least reduce with appropriate simplifications to the current models; explain some of the paradoxes; and predict ( a new paradigm according to T. Kuhn).

The current social acceptance of new work for funding almost guarantees it will be an outsider to the professional community who finds it.

Hi John, thanks for your contribution on this issue. You are talking about the “The current social acceptance of new work”; when even the bankruptcy, the myths and the Fairy Tales (like those before the Copernican revolution) of modern science are not admitted as such, but are fiercely defended with Nobel earning fake proofs, by the high-priests and their loyal adherents!

You do not need “funding” to demonstrate scientifically, mathematically and philosophically that the major theories of modern physics and cosmology (used as ruling ideas of monopoly capitalism), have no scientific validity, but are just medieval myths masquerading as profound truths! Only the following two humble journal publication (among many more) are enough to dismantle the cobwebs of the last few thousand years of theoretical physics and cosmology!

As my RG profile showed many so-called "theoretical physicists and mathematicians", including a Nobel Laureate, read these articles “in full”; but none so far showed the temerity to make any credible refutation of the radical claims made in these articles; still shamelessly remain silent and stoically refuse to accept their validity! These are nothing but conformed troops of “scientist serfs” (a term of the Bengali poet Tagore), who are totally dependent on monopoly capital for their livelihood, career and crafts and who toil mighty to bring expected and acceptable results!

The refusal to accept objective truth is characteristic of all past moribund social formations of the human history. The present and decadent monopoly capitalism is no exception. But it is true that this is the most formidable regressive force of humanity, as it has infected all of humanity even in the remotest corner of the earth. But a point of departure is a must, if humanity has to make further advance or even to continue its very existence against extinction!

The only way a point of departure can be achieved is through the dialectical 'negation of the negation' of the Copernican revolution in natural science and cosmology; which was undone from Newton to Einstein. But this is a negation that would involve the most fundamental reformation of hitherto all social structures of past history -but it must be done!

As history shows, a fierce struggle of the unyielding old and the overwhelming new is involved in all social transformations.
