Could this be caused by the contrast? Or was it due to anxiety from the test result? What's the first step in diagnosing the cause of the symptoms?

The contrast media induced coagulation activation may result in thrombosis of the coronaries. The non-ionic contrast media may have higher incidence of thrombosis than the ionic contrast media. There may now be the addition of heparin in some contrast media formulations to avoid these complications.
