Based on my experience it depends of the age of the patient, in kids i prefer to check the vitality of the tooth and close without doing RCT, but i i do regular controls (pulp test, x-ray) to match and evaluate the vitality of pulp. I prefer this method because i want the pulp to be vital as long as it can so it can produce more dentine and have root with thick walls. If you do RCT soon after root formation you will have a root with thin walls which can lead to fracture. At adult people i prefer to do RCT instead of matching pulp vitality because i don't need pulp to produce dentin so i can proceed with RCT.
Please go for permanent restoration with CaOH liner and ZnP base. Recall the patient half yearly basis for atleast 3 years from the period of complete root closure... Evaluate and do needful at that stage...time will give a long span to think and to make necessary adjustment of TP considering the prognosis of the tooth at that time. Thanks & regards
