I am revising my manuscript and I am confused about one of the comments that related to adjusted p-value and p-value. I found some information about the adjusted P-value on the net but hard to understand.
I did a one-way ANOVA test and multiple comparisons of all means in Tukey’s HSD test (P < 0.05) by PRISM. I am unsure whether this is an adjusted P-value or P value?
For multiple comparison tests, adjusted p-value usually means that the p-values of the individual comparisons are adjusted to maintain a specified experiment-wise error rate. The Tukey Honestly Significant Difference procedure automatically handles the comparison-wise adjustments to maintain the experiment-wise error rate. I hope this is helpful.
