In a surface energy analysis, we have found a very interesting result- the cohesive energy of aluminum fumarate is lower than the adhesive energy of aluminum fumarate-water pair. Also, the uptake measured by thermogravimetric analysis is higher. The doping with metallic ions significantly improves the adhesive energy. Need to do some comparative analysis.
Measure sorption isotherms at different temperatures. Construct isosteres (vapor pressure vs temperature for at same adsorbed amount). From that you can calculation the standard enthalpy en entropy of adsorption.
