Our thickness range up to 1.5mm.is there machine or die problem to not get the uniform thickness or powder problem we are pressing manual and filling powder is also manual in die.tell me the answer to my question and how can in get uniform thickness of the component.Our component shape is in circle shape.
Obtaining uinform thickness of the pellets highly depends on the processing parameters such as load and maintianing load. You should keep these parameters same for all the samples. Non-uniform pouring and unequal pressing of powder will results in non-unifromity in thickness.
Once you pour powder in the die, I would suggest you to gently tap on the sides of the die so that the powder will be spread uniformly.
If you are coating any lubricant on walls of die for easy removal of sample make sure you use the same amount of lubricant for all the samples.
