If you just want to look for Ca(OH)2 content at various ages of curing i suggest you do thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The endothermic peak in derivative curve of TGA is well separated and much easier to quantify compared to that of XRD quantitative analysis. With XRD, the accuracy of your quantitative analysis will depend on various parameter like quality of your data (that itself depends upon various parameters like the particle size of your sample and the instrument parameters). Then you would require an internal or external standard to improve your data accuracy. Then the identification of all phases accurately will play a major role Only when you have identified all your phases correctly the next step will be the quality of your actual refinement. After all this still may have varying degrees of error levels depending upon how experienced you are on doing quantitative analysis using rietveld refinement

For portlandite content the best method i came across is TGA compared to XRD-rietveld refinement

I do quantitative analysis of crystaline phases using Rietica for Windows.
