Zenodo is in the first place an open-source and free repository and is developed under the European OpenAIRE program and facilitated by CERN. It is free (of costs) to use. As part of the service Zenodo provides for papers (but also data, a chapter, a report, etc.) without a DOI the assignment of a DOI which will show “zenodo” at the end.

I have a question regarding the use of Zenode for assigning DOIs. Will using Zenode cause any issues with the indexation on Scopus or Web of Science? Also, is using Crossref necessary for the Journal's progress?

Thanks
