When a voltage is applied to the electrodes dipped into an electrolytic solution, ions of the electrolyte move and, therefore, electric current flows through the electrolytic solution. It's simple: The faster the ions move in the electrolyte solution, the higher the current intensity. Hence more conductive electrolyte make more current flow.

Electrical conductivity is based on the flow of electrons. In distilled water is a very poor conductor of electricity since very little electricity flows through the water. Highly ionized substances are strong electrolytes. Strong acids and salts are strong electrolytes because they completely ionize in solution. The ions carry the electric charge through the solution thus creating an electric current. more details in the following references;

yes, actually, it's not that simple. We can not find any simple (and general) analytic relationship, for your request, e.g. between flowing current, iionic, through electrolyte and electrolyte (specific) conductivity[1], Sionic, valid for all KOH (aqueous) solutions, because it depends on many (experimental) parameters[2], belonging to a complex field (multi-physics).

However, some limiting (and sporadic, specific) conductivity values[3-8], might be useful for your initial 'understanding'.
