I am simulating a uniaxial load in a single element in Abaqus Standard. I used a simple isotropic hardening plasticity model where I input the yield stress and plastic strain from an experimental true stress-strain curve as tabular data.

When I extract the von mises stress-strain curve from the integration point output, there is a slight deviation from the plastic curve that I input around the yielding area (see figure).

Is this normal? Did I make a mistake? I tried with different time increments, NLGEOM and element types; but it does not affect the output significantly.
