I used a discrete rigid part (cuboid) to translate a force into a plate for a bending test. Trying to run the job, there occurs an error that the surface of the cuboid does not exist.
In the part module i used "shape > shell > from solid" to be able to add the cuboid to the assembly.
Can someone explain what went wrong or give me a recommendation how to create a rigid plate to translate the force into the bending plate?

Did you use a reference point RP for your rigid bodies?
In my ABQ bending FEMs, I added RPs, and attached my boundaries on theses RPs while loads are applied to nodes of the surface of the rigid body.
Also, don´t forget to mesh your tool surface.

Yes I used RPs for the rigid bodies and also used them to apply the force. Do I have to apply the force on a node? And do I always need to create RPs for rigid bodies?
I also created support plates. To apply the BC I partitioned them in the middle. But that did not work out either.
What do you mean with mesh tool surface? I meshed the rigid parts the same way as the deformable bodies.
At the moment I get many of the following errors, concerning all connections between the rigid parts and deformable bodies or BCs, although they are on the same level.

I think the error in the headline occured at first because I did not mesh the rigid parts. Now it changed to the above error.
Yes I agree, you should have had the initial error because of unmeshed tool surfs. Well, it depends as your tools are only rigid surfs but your deformable specimen might as well be composed of solid elements, so meshing might be very different.
In general, when using shell rigid bodies you need to assign RPs for the boundaries. Even if it looks weird, the rigid nature of these type of objects can be supported in just a single point.
If you want to apply load, you can as well apply them to surfaces, but if you use rigid bodies which do not defor, its useless to assign surface based loads. Then you should pick a node, which can be created by face partitioning.
I have no recommendation for your new error, but in ABQ, luckily, there's a huge community on the internet, e.g. did you check this thread - seems similar to your error:

I can run the job now! :) The problem was that I linked the BCs with the partition line of the support plate. I changed this to the RP and now it works.
The safe bet from the other thread did not work yet. But also thanks for the link!
