While conducting a structured review of RCTs on a psychosocial intervention, I note that many authors claim to have used "intent to treat" analyses. What details of such an analysis should these authors report? To what if any extent does this mitigate effects of differential attrition across groups? Is it an appropriate analysis strategy when outcome data are missing from all attrited subjects? Thank you.
