To design a circuit in Virtuoso you need a Design Kit from a foundry.
In the Design kit you will find inductor symbols, schematic, parametrized layout and parametrized models for your simulator, relative to that technology.
If you don't have a design kit and you need a circuit model for planar spiral inductor you can find a circuit model with circuit parameter values in the paper below.
Inside you can also find references on the state of the art on planar spiral inductor models.

I thought Silterra has inductors for wider range of values. At least, the one that I used (old PDK) has the range from 1.65 nH - 22.9 nH. I used the old PDK 2006.
We have Inductor toolkit (scalable inductor) for started 2008 release date and improved inductor range. Please refer to our latest PDK. BTW I'm currently the owner for the Inductor Toolkit and please let me know if you have any concern.
Currently I'm reporting to Yusman. If you have any just let him know. BTW Inductor Toolkit, it is in separate GUI called "Smart PDK" in Silterra PDK menu. Thank you
I see. I was just talking to him just now as I just moved to a new university 4 months ago. I used to work in USM. I knew him since 2003 when his former boss was a good friend of mine.
I also did my sabbatical leave in Silterra in March 2007 - April 2008. At that time, I worked on 130 nm (LNA, VCO and BGR) and no university at that time were working or using the process. Now, I am very happy that everyone is catching up and may have overtook me but I am glad that happens. But I strongly believe we do not have enough pool of talents working in the area. We need more!
