Does anyone know of any recent (1990-present), notable paper in mathematics which has no references and is freely accessible online? I am just curious whether reference-free originality in mathematics is possible in this day and age. Thanks.
Thanks for your input guys. But I wasn't trying to make a joke or refer to some papers written by mathematical crack pots. My question was completely serious. Perhaps it would be helpful to know that people who read few journal articles (and non at all in mathematics) simply don't realize that such a question will sound ridiculous to professional mathematicians. Thanks for your understanding.
A reference-free article from any field of math (or for that matter, physics or astronomy) will do. I am more interested in modern, reference-free originality in mathematics and related fields, rather than in a particular field of mathematics. Thanks.
