To determine the true color of surface water or differe wastewater (a) ISO 7887:2011 E (method B) and (b) EPA Method 110.2, Official name: Color (Colorimetric-Platinum-Cobalt) are used.

For ISO7887:2001 E (method B):- 436nm , 525nm and 620nm are used.

For EPA Method 110.2 :- 455nm is used.

The absorption value gives us a general idea about the waste sample color like how much intense it is comparing with other sample. but except this what other information (specially chemical properties) we can gain from abs. values ? It would be a great help ......
