Hello Everyone, I am trying to simulate climate change effect on the forest landscapes and exploring different software options to to 3D Visualization. I am aware of 3D Nature's Visual Nature Studio 3 and geoweb3d software, is there anything which is better and is compatible with ArcGIS and other GIS database ?

Have you already tried with 3D CityEngine or ArcScene or ArcGlobe and the 3D Analyst extension from Esri?

Arun, that is a fair question. Although I have seen people using CityEngine for visualizing trees in 3D, I'm not entirely sure if it has been used for large scale forestry applications. However, I do know that the best way to get answers would be to directly ask the developers and application experts who work with CityEngine specifically. There is a dedicated CityEngine community platform run by Esri and I would encourage you to share the question with them.

Arun, you can use 3D Forest software for 3D visualization of forest if you have terrestrial LiDAR data. Please see the website below. I have used this software for individual tree visualization using LiDAR data.

You can use ArcScene if you have elevation values associated with each tree (point shapefile) and extrude it.
