The surface structure of the 3D printed Ti alloys samples can be regulated by the diameter of the metal microspheres, the power of the 3D laser beam, the scanning rate and other process parameters. But when I made change in these parameters I found there are only slight difference in the microstructure of 3D printed samples in scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images. Here I would like to ask:

  • How can we make sure the microstructure spherical will be stable to adhere to the substrate?
  • How to control the mentioned parameters to get different surface microstructure?
  • Are there other parameters can affect the Microstructure on surface of the 3D printed Ti alloy?
