For some context, I am trying to expand from a 2-spin-system to a 3-spin-system of an NMR related relaxation mechanism. The solution for the 2-spin-system (2 coupled differential equtions) is well presented in this piece of litterature [1], and it is said that "these results for a model two-spin system can be generalized to multi-spin systems...".
So, in trying to find the solution for a 3-spin-system, I've run into the issue that I can't even seem to find the eigenvectors of my 3x3 matrix. The resulting determinant (det(A-λI)) seems to be way too complicated. Isolating for λ in different analytical programs yields nothing of use. Does anyone know how to deal with this?
I've attached two pictures, one of the 2-spin-system and one of the 3-spin-system (hand-drawn sorry).
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I hope someone can be of help.
Thank you.
