Hello Scientist

I have a statistical question regarding my master thesis.

I would like to calculate a two factorial ANOVA with two levels of group (overweight/normal weight) and two levels of gender (female/male). Here I want to make group differences regarding the three scales of the DEBQ. Now my question is do I need post hoc tests for this? My understanding is that this is not needed, since for the two different groups, both gender and over/underweight I only need two levels and not three or more. Or do I have a mental error somewhere

Thank you very much and kind regards.
