I need a help.
I want to understand the difference between free radicals 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Are they similar and can one of them be replaced with the other in the experiment? We usually use 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, but now we can't find it in our country. So, is it possible to use 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl instead of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl?

these two compounds are exactly the same. The names are synonyms and describe the same structure.

The two names are different nomenclature for the same compound, they are synonym and any one you come across can be use for your analysis for the same outcome.
Yes, both are same but be careful while ordering. there are two types of DPPH are available in the market one is free radical and another is without free radical.
DPPH free radical is known as 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl/1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl. Another DPPH is 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazine/1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazine.
for anti oxidant activity we will start from free radical which give a purple solution and after test it will be converted into yellow colour (-zine) DPPH without free radical.
