For those who do chromatography work, and apply 1/X and/or 1/X2 weighting for the calibration curves, do you have the mathematical procedure to apply such weighting? I do have a software (TargetLynx) that applies it automatically, however, I want to have it handy to use it in Excel calculations.
It seems that most of us, chromatography users, are widely relying on the software packages to do calculations for us. We ignore the fact that we must be smarter than those packages so as to not stay hopeless trying to figure out how things are going on when we must work outside the packages.
The answer to my question is answered through statistics. The curves are being plotted using experimental data to obtain raw data curves, while the weighted fitting is done through statistical calculations. So, digging deep into statistics has gave me a clear answer to how do 1/x and 1/x2 weighted curve fitting are calculated.
I'll be uploading some sample calculations here in the near future for your reference.

Yes I did, but you are the first person to show interest! If you have JMP available (JMP a software for statistics) then your task is simplified. If you don't have it, then there is an excel sheet that I can share it with you which has these calculations.
