Recent years witnessed a massive development of GenAI technology. New GenAI-based tools are introduced at least monthly. This technology, whether we are aware or not, has changed the way students handle their writing tasks, to some extent. In some occasions, a few students might have submitted paraphrased AI-generated essay, giving their teachers an experience of reading paraphrased AI-generated essay, perhaps unknowingly. I read a few scholarly works, published in considerably reputable journals; those works imply that there is no concern (i.e., with the students' academic integrity) in such a practice. What is your position on this issue? What do you feel when one day you know that a student has submitted a paraphrased AI-generated essay? Will you accept the essay if the student being honest to you by attributing an AI (e.g., ChatGPT) as the primary source of the essay?
