There are mushrooming growth of online courses across the globe. This is more visible during the pandemic COVID19. What is your opinion on degrees/certificates earned by students through such online courses?
I have personally completed three courses from the online learning platform titled COURSERA. They usually offer non-credit courses. These courses are very well designed and will test your learning skills in a convincing way and there is no short cut of it. Three courses that I have completed helped me a great extent to upgrade my skills for sure.
Hello, I am finishing my PhD at the University of North Texas. I am a residential student. However, I am all for universities like Southern New Hampshire, Walden, and the University of Phoenix. As you mention, the experience is about the learning. Once upon a time, I took some non-credit courses at UMass Lowell, and I learned a lot at a low cost. Thank you.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the physical education field, my students have become frustrated and have lost their self-confidence, especially those who are graduating at this time. Because they have no practical experience of sports classes.
I think the knowledge delivered in the online courses and webinars by subject experts from different parts of our country and even from foreign countries are much more important and precious than its certificate value. It enhance our knowledge and skills. As it is not always possible for us to physically go to different places and meet different subject experts for gaining knowledge, So online courses are a good opportunities for us to boost our knowledge bank by simply sitting at our homes.
