does anyone have any new suggestions of how to treat FBSS without controlled substances and or surgical intervention. All have failed along with traditional therapies over the course of 6 years. The patient has epidural fibrosis around the nerve root and is regressing in pain and activity. Nerve conduction study and new MRI will happen in the next two weeks. Is pentoxifylline and vitamin e been proven to help this case of epidural fibrosis? I have read one article that has supporting facts but wanted to know if there is anymore recently published articles about this.
Kelly, please change your mind! There are no drugs for this kind of situation. I am telling you that with the experience of an anesthesiologist who worked in pain medicine for many decades. Even the method of Epidurolysis is questionable.

Thank you everyone for your input and questions. I have an update on this patients diagnosis. As he did get a new lumbar MRi and EMG & NCV study. I will create a new questions board with the findings.
