Would that be a problem freezing HIV with liquid nitrogen instead of ethanol/dry ice bath??

We have always frozen our HIV stock with ethanol/dry ice bath, but the ethanol often erases the labels on the tubes. Would that be OK to use liquid nitrogen instead? could it be too low of a temperature?
