I am compiling a paper on Breadfruit Revitalization in the Marquesas, based on my earlier work on Breadfruit in the Pacific - and recent observations about the support for Breadfruit as a local food stuff. The argument for local foods as a substitute for imported foodstuffs raises questions about the place of breadfruit in such 'revitalization' projects.
