Bell's theorem is generally considered a no-go for local causality (aka local hidden variable models). Wood&Spekkens, (2015) derive the inequality from a no-fine tuning principle using considerations about causal structures. W&S argue that from this viewpoint, inequality violations are a no-go for other scenarios too (such as retro-causal ones or super-determinism).
My question is: Is it correct to say that Bell's theorem and the inequality violation have broader import than presented originally by Bell? Is this a POV that has currency or consensus within the Q Foundations community?
