I am writing a paper about Graves disease for my A&P class and I was surprised that in the Britannica Online article (Graves disease pathology https://www.britannica.com/science/Graves-disease) it said, "There is no treatment for Graves disease itself," because my professor's prompt included a case study about a young woman with Graves disease and the doctor told her, "There's good news ... this is a condition that we can treat relatively easily."
So I started wondering about the article written by Robert D. Utiger in Britannica and learned that he died in 2008 and from my textbook, I learned that several hormones have just been discovered during my life time, so I speculated that this is still an emerging field. Then I discovered the existence of an article titled The past 10 years --new hormones, new functions, new endocrine organs by R Bouillon, D Drucker, E. Farrannini et al.
Thanks for any guidance you can give. I'll be looking forward to receiving the text of the article, which I have requested.
