Tp : As the process temperature can be similar/same as we can maintain the it in pilot, plant or laboratory level.
MTSR: In case of no cooling failure scenario, MTSR will not be reached. But if there is a cooling failure, will the MTSR reached, be same for pilot and plant? I feel that as scale increases, the mass of the reaction contents will increase as it lessens the heat capacity of reaction contents. This will increase the adiabatic temperature rise.
MTT :Boiling point is a physical parameter which does not change with respect to scale.
TD24 : As scale increases, what will happen to the TD24 as it is a function of temperature? Thus increase in the reaction mass contents for larger scale will liberate the corresponding heat energy

The specific heat capacity has units of energy per unit mass per degree of temperature. For example in SI units, it should be Joules/gram/degree-C
Hence, scaling up from a pilot-scale plant (or a laboratory scale) to a full plant size will not affect this property.

Hi.. Stoessel criticality class index is applicable to both pilot and plant scale. MTSR never change with batch size/pilot/plant scales for a same chemical process. TD24 should be generated from low Phi-factor instrument like ARC or ARSST or etc. TD24 also does not depend on scale of the process. Only thing you must use a reliable adiabatic calorimeter to generate this TD24 value.

Thanks for the response. But I have a pressing question. Adiabatic temperature rise is the ratio of the heat of reaction (q) to the specific heat capacity (Cp) of the reaction contents.
I feel that while adding reactants to the RC, we do calibration before and after the addition to determine U and Cp.
As Cp value increases with respect to mr addition, I would like to know the significance and behavior of the Cp with regards to the mass changing. So all in all, would this not lead to different MTSR calculations with respect to the adiabatic temperature rise when moving from pilot to plant scale?
