While the AI, Machine learning and Smart Computing technologies made enormous progress it seems that with Covid-19 and its new variants the Human Health is yet in great danger and very vulnerable to possible infections.
I don't think so ML may help us in this regard because the new variants are due to the mutations.
The more data and information we feed to AI the more it will be helpful. For example if learning algorithms are able to learn and predict future possible variants of Covid using information about different variants and how they developed, they can be helpful in production of effective medicine.

AI and machine learning only predict and analyze the variant set in which measure the quantity and etc... not to produce the vaccination according to covid19
I feel more data is needed for the AI to analyse and understand present variants and predict possible future ones.
The amount od data collected so for and thh research intitiatives globally and the use of AI would help to find the right balance in COVID pridictability and prevetion mechanisms in the near future.
