Hello,

So I would in a small research Lab doing undergraduate work and we are using the base unit of proline with different functional groups on it. Mine specifically has a TBDMS protected alcohol along with a ethyl ester and an n-benzyl group. I having been thinking about how to purify this product and of course I could use a prep-column but I believe re-crystallization would be easier. Unfortunately I don't know that much about it and am having a hard time to find a good source for the theory behind the technique. My product is currently an oil. Will it be able to recrystallize? and if so can anyone point me to literature or text to find the correct solvent.

Thank you,

AY
