Nowadays artificial intelligence has been evolving, certainly we will have in the future robots that modify their way of thinking and can make decisions.
This artificial intelligence, may bring some future risks, example the intelligence of Microsoft tested on Twitter by the name TAY, and that failed, after learning racist words.
The computing power is not longer a constraint, therefore new efficient self-learning methods can be exploited. However, humanity embraces many relevant issues related for instance with consciousness, and I am not confident to see robots with consciousness in medium terms.
This where AI is just at its very early stage and yet already quite capable to assimilate and learn. However, your view is very important in order to make sure that Humanity remains as is.
In terms of fast and accurate actions/reactions combined with increased strength, I say robotic systems are very powerful. But when talking about autonomy, intelligence, learning and reasoning, AI techniques are so limited compared to human intelligence since the most powerful processing devices are trivial in front of human brain (for learning and reasoning), think also of the perception systems, where the most advanced sensors combined with modern data processing techniques can't reach the way we collect and adapt to our environments. so I'm not expecting that revolution, at least within this century.
