I am trying to deposit some ZnS nanoparticles on iron oxide support. However, because the iron oxide support is not too crystalline, I want to heat treat it at around 500-600 degrees C in air, but I am afraid it may change the phase composition or convert the ZnS component to other phase.

How stable is ZnS at such high temperatures? Is it easily converted? If yes, then how can I protect it from being converted to other phases?
