I measured 8 quanti- and quali- plant traits along grazing disturbance gradients (sites), and I need to assess which traits are the first onces to be lost when disturbance increases. I thougth about performing an onrdination of the sites based on the traits (PCoA or nMDS) and then correlate the first two axis with the traits to assess which one gives a better explanation to the ordination, as well as the direction of that explanation. Would that be ecologically and statistically correct?
