I've built a 2 cm wide reactor, and when I increase the amount of ozone, the amount of pollutant destruction decreases. whereas everybody knows that degradation efficiency should increase when ozone is increased.
When ozone is increasing, is it possible that the bubbles will stick together and become larger and thereby reduce the level of contact with the pollutant?
Your Ozone application is for what purpose?
Is it wastewater treatment or water treatment?
If it is in wastewater treatment, tertiary treatment or another step?

Is it a continuous or batch reactor? From the "2 cm" my answer is assuming a tubular flow reactor. On a first glance, I would say that you are reducing the residence time to a point that is nor enough for the oxidation to occur. Remember that (if an open reactor) increasing the flow of the feed reduces the residence time.

The length of the reactor is 50 cm and its width is 2 cm.

I study the intensity of absorption at Landa Max Naproxen, which should be reduced during reaction.
Interestingly, even when I change the pH, the absorption intensity in landa max increases slightly during the reaction! :)
The by-product of naproxen oxidation can have a higher absorption coefficient than naproxen at selected wavelenght.
