I confuse why most of literature is specifically used Rhodamine, Quinine sulfate, etc as a fluorescence Quantum Yield (QY) standards. Besides, I need to know if there's an easier way that make me compute QY without measuring the absorption spectrum of standards.

if you prefer comparison method of quantum yield(QY) measurement you have to use some standard samples for calculation purpose. In the case of Rhodamine , almost it have unity value(0.95) of QY with the less concentration of 1*10-5 M in methanol. Hence if you use Rhodamine as standard, u can estimate how much error in your experiments. In such a way that you can understand easily how to change your parameters in your experiments or your sample concentration. For example if your sample concentration is more you will get error because of re-absorption of the sample that had used in experiment. Generally, samples with less than 0.2 optical density of linear absorption have ideal for quantum yield measurements in comparison method. The same condition applies to the quinine sulfate as standard means the excitation and emission wavelength region is different for comparison of the samples.
The easier way to measure QY is integrated sphere method there you can find absolute QY value without using standard samples.
