I'm playing with PMF source apportionment model at the moment. However, I found zero contribution (conc.) from some factors. I have tried to reduce and increase the number of factor, this zero contribution still appears. Anybody know what is the problem here and how to fix it? Thank you.
Hi Agung, Could you please provide some more details about the settings you have used to run your PMF? Have you used PM as a total variable? There are a few reasons you can have this problem, but the most usual one is that if you use PM as a total variable, then either your PM measurement is not super good and the model apportions them very roughly to the factors, or PM uncertainty is very low. What I would suggest is that if you used EPA PMF, and have set PM as total variable, use as PM uncertainty 3 times the concentration of PM (PMunc = PMconc*3).
