Why the surface area of support is less than Metal/Support in catalysis?

I am a little bit confused. My surface area of support is 13 m2/g and after impregnating active metal, the surface area increase to 28 m2/g. What's the possible reasoning behind this? Because normally after impregnating Ni metal, the surface area decreases due to the pore blockage of support.

This seems absurd results and you need to revise your results.

Please check the results with your lab technician again, since in no literature it is stated and supported. This maybe a human error while synthesizing or during doing the surface area analysis by the technician.
