The genetic distances ,using four markers HLA-A, -B, DRB1 and -DQB1, show that the Saudis are closely related to North Africans and Iberians, distant from Bahrainis, Emiratis and Omanis, and too far from the Arabs of Levant (Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese). How can we explain this by historical events.

Historical evidence I read a few years ago suggested Mesopotamia as the origin of Arab culture. Many Saudi cultural traits are originally noted in ancient Assyrians/hijab for example. But if the genetics are correct this cannot be the case. Historically, although there is plenty of evidence of African movement into Arabia, I know nothing about North African movement there.
Although Arab peoples were known in Palestine from early times, most claiming Arab descent there and Syria are probably wrong, and their ethnic claims are due to cultural transition.
