I am working on Helicon ion source (The applied RF power and extraction voltage are 1 kW and 20 kV typically, respectively).The measured ion beam profile is a Gaussian and linear superimposition. What parameters affect the ion beam profile and why the so-called profile deviates from the Gaussian?
