Answer : % 90 of carbon black(black color) is consumed in tyres industries . Adding carbon black increases long life of tyres (9 – 10) times comparing with tyres which are not containing this substance .

Historical carbon black has been added due to ugly yellowing of natural rubber. But, but afterwards it was found that with carbon black one can increase performance of tires. Meantime more than 100 types of carbon black material have been developed and are used differently in certain parts of tires (within one tire there are big differences of material composition especially with carbon black types!). Some types increase friction properties, strength, long life properties. All types improve UV-stability and heat distribution.
