Probably just random chance. There is no reason that binary stars can't have habitable planets (though there are some constraints on the kind of orbits such planets can have), and if we happened to live on one of them, then the Sun would be part of a binary system. But there are many planets around single stars, and we just happen to live on one of them, so it naturally follows that the Sun isn't a binary star.

First: Every small and large body that revolves around the sun in the rings of the sun is a planet. Even atoms of gases.

Second: Our sun revolves around another sun, and every object that revolves around another sun with our sun is a sibling of our sun.
