Why sound absorption coefficient results coming less after adding nanofibrous mat in the SMS nonwoven?

First I have prepared a sample with spunbonded-melt blowned-spunbonded (SMS) nonwoven structure. After that I produced nano mat from different polymers on PET substrate. Finally I added this nano mat on SMS nonwoven. I found that low and medium frequency level sound absorption is little bit more but higher level of frequency it is showing less sound absorption coefficient.

After introducing nano mat with SMS, the void contents of nano introduced SMS reduced considerably, thereby, causing less absorption of higher frequency sound waves.
