We are planning on doing behavioral testing before and after inducing depression. One behavioral test we want to do is the forced swim test. We are wanting to use 20 cm (D) x 50 cm (H) cylinders for our work. Does it matter if we use transparent cylinders? Because we are thinking of going the less expensive route, rather than ordering something from Harvard Apparatus. Thoughts? Also, is that an appropriate size cylinder for rats?
