According to ResearchGate, score includes the research outcomes that you share on your proflile, not only academic profile, but also for people with experiences in the industry, such as the E&P oil and gas.

My interaction with other members, my peers (i.e., it takes into consideration publications, questions, answers, followers) are not only in the university. Even more: in the Schools of Earth Sciences in Argentina there is not available for example, the lastest advances in seismic interpretation, e.g., 3D WS, real-study cases, and so on.

So, your (my) peers are in the industry.

The RG Score is displayed on every profile alongside the basic information about a researcher. In my particular case, I start the 2018 with about 2,0 points, and I reached 15,53 as a top, after a great effort to put my experiences, papers published or not, answers, to try to help colleagues worldwide. Due that weekly interaction, I put in contact with colleagues, trying to work collaborative, trying to share experiences and new development, in focus related with reservoir seismic characterization.

To put in context: my old RG score (15 points) are three times lesser than a colleagues in the university (40-45 points), with a lot of papers but without weekly interaction such as collaborative answers. But, with the new RG scores, there are a huge distances: between 100 and 50 times lesser my own score: 120 for me, 4000, 5000, 10000 for colleagues, a very good colleagues, but, so much???

Why the new RG score ignores a number of fundamental guidelines and that ResearchGate makes basic mistakes in the new-way score.

Why I punished due that I can not publish a confidential dataset?

I just wondering if you agree for the new RG score?

best wishes, Mario E. Sigismondi
