Agree with the above. If there is a linear dependence of peak current with sweep rate then it usually means an adsorbed species is involved. This is a good recent paper in the Journal of Chemical Education.

Thank you for your reply and I have developed a chloro-phenol sensor by modifying the active surface area of glassy carbon electrode with nanoparticles. I have recorded the CVs at different concentrations and scan rates. The CVs curves shows linearity with increasing conc. as well as scan rate. But whenever i plot the Ip Vs V1/2 it shows non linearity.
