Yes you are correct Mr. Andres, our course mostly focuses on production aspects. But now trend is changing. Government of India has recently started program on start ups and few of the universities have started teaching on entereprenuer skills and these days most of the universities have college of agribusiness where entrepreneur skills are also imparted.
Experiential Learning, RAWE programmes, Incubation Centre all are going on... It becomes very difficult to convince Agriculture students for Agri Entrepreneurship
Because they are being trained to become entrepreneurs instead of finding jobs here and there ...they know different aspects related to entrepreneurship
Comparatively, few have become entrepreneurs and become successful and viable in terms of economic aspects/earnings but majority have a tendency to join other governmental and non governmental organizations for the jobs due to other better opportunities and charming expectations.

In a country like India, most of the students enrolled for being graduate in Agricultural science as well as allied sectors belong to middle class or lower middle class family group. Even though someone is personally interested to be an entrepreneur, their family back ground and social strata may not be favorable. The common mentality of lower middle class income group is more intended towards a financially secured profession. Hence, Government job are treated to be the best options. Many of the meritorious students are being fascinated towards getting higher education, which indicates a greater scope for the R&D Sector of Agriculture.
The over all development in Agriculture is only possible when a greater section of agriculture graduates will voluntarily be intended towards entrepreneurship. Moral motivation and wide practical exposures during the graduation time can be a boon for this.
Some Universities have more theoritical protion in courses than carrer oriented courses. So, studnents have less practical knowledge. Couses like Mushroom Cultivation, Apiculture, Food Processing and Value addition etc. should be added in final year so that students can gain intrest to become entrepreneur
I believe its not only the case in Agriculture but every sector where students lacks hands on practice and find plethora of difficulties even having a thought of opting to be entrepreneur.
Educational institutions should encourage research abilities of the students right from the very beginning as allowing them to era of true world where they can develop problem solving abilities to be future leaders in any sector.
