Why My open circuit voltage (Voc) come negative in sliding contact mode triboelctric nanogenerator?

Is it ok , if Yes can anyone give explanation of that

Hello,

It can be a grounding issue. a voltage being negative is always a result of comparison to the ground. In TENG applications it's important to pay attention where to consider ground.

Also, it can be a result of not discharging the plates between experiments. while experimenting with TENG, it's important to discharge the plates before every test.
